    The Information Communication and Technology Department is one of the departments in Masai Technical Training institute. Over the years, the department has consistently churned out high calibre graduates in the field of ICT to both private and public sectors of Kenya´s economy. The department prides itself in programs that prepare students to the industry, who can apply information and communication technology across a wide variety of fields.

    The Department is responsible for teaching, training, carrying out research in software and hardware technologies, data communications and programming. The aim of our programs is to develop student’s capacity to face challenges head on and provide solutions in a confident and logical manner. This is done through adoption of best academic and technological practice to ensure students gain the right skills. Our programs highly emphasizes on imparting skills through practical sessions that take place in laboratories and various workshops. These are backed up by state of art computers.

    Our program consists of core ICT units that expose students to programming, data communication, ICT ethics, computer applications among others. Our students also undertake interdisciplinary programs such as communication skills, life skills and entrepreneur education to enable them communicate and face the world more positively. Additionally their exposure is complemented by an industrial field attachment which they attend whenever they complete a stage of the course of study. This makes them the best and highly sought after by employers.
